Petra Biret Magga-Vars is a Sámi artist, polititian and cultural educator. With a Master of Education degree, she has worked for 20 years as the director of the Sámi Children's Cultural Center.

Born in a Sámi family in Vuotso, she has specialized in the traditional knowledge and skills of her community, participating in the revival of the yoik tradition. Currently, she’s working on the debut of her first record album, with traditional Sámi music.
