Nataliia Deineka

Nataliia Deineka is a visual artist, art teacher, illustrator, writer, and philologist from Ukraine. Of all her professional roles, Nataliia afirms that working with and for children is the most meaningful and interesting activity in her life.

She has expressed her art in various projects, including workshops, art camps, books, and her own art studio Sun, where she taught children for 7 years. In her artistic and cultural projects, Nataliia highlights Ukrainian identity and culture.

Following her artistic residency in the Ukraine Solidarity Residencies Programme in North Karelia (Finland), she has participated in numerous artistic proposals across Finland, such as exhibitions in Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Kuusisto, Kuopio, Tohmajärvi, Eno, performances in Kuopio, and other workshops in cities like Tampere.

After receiving SKR and Taike grants, Nataliia published two bilingual Ukrainian-Finnish books for the children "Michelle is Choosing a Profession" (AS Priton, 2024) and "Colours" (AS Printon, 2024). She is currently continuing to work on a bilingual book project.
