Science by and for the youth 

KitchenLab is more than a science club, it’s where your excitement about the wonders of everyday phenomena can be explored and shared with others in a fun and multidisciplinary way!  

KitchenLab takes the shape of a series of 4 workshops. In them, together with Ana Álvarez Piedehierro (Physicist, science outreach expert) and Inês Montalvão (Biologist, experience designer), we will experiment and explore surprising effects that can take place in every  kitchen, the heart of your home. Guided by Ana and Inês, the young participants will not only learn the science behind these phenomena but also design and become the protagonists of their own science workshop. The young scientists participating in KitchenLab will be leading their original workshop in the framework of Kolibrí Festivaali on 1.10.2022 in Annantalo sharing their excitement about science with other children and families. 

KitchenLab workshop series will take place at Oodi Library (kitchen space, 2nd floor)on  SUN 4.9. & SAT 10.9 & SUN 11.9 & SUN 25.9.2022 in the morning. 

Spanish, Portuguese and English will be the languages of the workshops. 

We are inviting children and youngsters between 11-14 years old to join this new experience.
