Flowers, cakes, reaching out – An animation workshop

Saturday, September 30, 2023 - Malmitalo - 1:00 PM

What can be offered to demonstrate hospitality? Following the main theme of Kolibrí Festivaali 2023, Flowers, cakes, reaching out brings us the opportunity to unleash our imagination and artistic expression to bring gifts to life that show anyone that we care.

Visual artist Anne Savitie and photographer and video educator Maikki Kantola return to Kolibrí to help us explore empathy and the desire to bring a smile to others. As they remind us, “when we give someone a flower or extend a hand, we kindly show them that we care. And as hosts, we welcome them warmly. Baking is also a way to show love and appreciation. We see the effort and we want to offer the best.”

An animation workshop where you can mold dough with your little ones to create all kinds of creations that explore gestures of hospitality. They will have a blast!
