Bichos do Mato

Saturday, September 26, 2026 - Lastenkulttuurikeskus Pessi - 11:00 AM

Laura Zubillaga (AR) and Daniela Alatorre (MX) return to Kolibrí 2026 with a workshop of imagination, play, and creation where small pieces of wood come to life as unexpected creatures. As they invite us: “From a twisted branch or a tiny scrap of wood, an entire imaginary forest can grow, you just have to let your hands and imagination lead the way.” Using fragments of reclaimed wood, children aged 4 and up are encouraged to build their own possible and impossible animals. Branch-like wings? Stick legs? A twisted tail? Anything goes! Come discover how from small pieces of wood, an entire forest full of creatures can emerge.

This activity is thanks to a collaboration with Aalto-yliopisto – Wood Program.
