Ximena Gamboa is a young Mexican painter and visual artist. She graduated in Visual Arts in 2021 from the University of Yucatán (Mexico) and has furthered her artistic training with studies in Germany and Switzerland.

Despite her youth, she has managed to present her work in exhibitions both in her home country and in Finland, where she has lived since 2023. Her work is characterised by the use of oil paint to explore patterns inspired by nature, investigating the power of the subconscious and the expressive strength of colour. In 2020, she was awarded first place in the José Atanasio Monroy National Painting Biennial, establishing herself as an emerging voice in contemporary painting.
