A Lantern for Wishes

Saturday, September 13, 2025 - Sello Library - 1:00 PM

Join this creative and eco-friendly workshop, inspired by lantern making traditions across cultures, such as Chinese, Thai, Brazilian, and Mexican. Burak Türköz and Lù Chén invite you to celebrate collaborative creativity and cultural creation with joy and care.

Make paper lanterns with your children and decorate them with “amulets” that represent your past or future wishes. Feel free to bring any sentimental objects from home to decorate your lantern, or use the ones provided in the workshop. Bring your objects and wishes to life in this activity full of creativity and sensory play!

⚠️ The activity is expected to last about 3 hours, or until materials run out.
