Vera Lapitskaya is a Russian-Finnish dance artist, educator, and curator.
She studied dance at North Karelia College in Outokumpu (Finland) and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). She holds a master's degree in psychology and pedagogy and is a certified DanceAbility teacher.
Using inclusive practices, she explores how movement and dance can bridge differences and bring together people of different backgrounds and abilities.
With almost 20 years of experience in dancing, teaching, and directing, she has created over 30 dance projects, including solo performances, group pieces, community projects, children's performances, and short films.
In her recent works, she explores themes such as differences and similarities, togetherness, identity, inclusion, and tolerance.
