Kolibrí 2025 Children’s Book Fair: Celebrating Diversity and Poetry!

Kolibrí Festivaali 2025 will host its traditional Children’s Book Fair in Spanish and Portuguese! This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of our beloved festival, making this book fair extra special! 

Kolibrí Children’s Book Fair will spotlight the works of illustrator and writer Gusti (AR), creator of the Kolibrí 2025 image, and poet Mar Benegas (ES), our 2025 Guest Artist. You will have the opportunity to buy their books at the fair and have them signed by both authors!  

Our Children’s Book Fair is one of our most traditional events and it offers a unique opportunity to take home second-hand children’s books in Spanish and Portuguese. Every year, we embrace children’s literature with a wide selection of titles from publishers throughout Ibero-America. So don’t miss the chance to bring home second-hand and new children’s books to enjoy with your little ones 😉.  

Save the dates and activities of Kolibrí 2025 Children’s Book Fair    

  • 20.9.2025 – Lastenkulttuurikeskus Pessi (Vantaa) – 11 am – 4 pm | Book signing by Mar Benegas: 12 – 1 pm + 3 – 4:30 pm.  
  • 27.9.2025 – Annantalo (Helsinki) – 11 am – 4 pm | Book signing by Gusti: 12:30 – 1:30 pm + 3 – 4 pm. 

Remember we accept books!    

If you have books in Spanish or Portuguese, in good condition, that your little ones no longer read, we can find them a new home!

  • 26.-27.7. | Tropical Weekend 2025: CoolHead Brew, Helsinki | 26.7.: 1 pm – 5 pm | 27.7.: 12-2 pm + 3 – 5 pm. 
  • 23.8. | Kolibrí Opening: Kulttuurikeskus Caisa (Kaikukatu 4 B, Helsinki) | 4 – 5 pm.  
  • 6.9. | Sello Library (Espoo) | 11 am – 2 pm: Main entrance of Sello Library. 
  • 13.9. | Sello Libray (Espoo) | 11 am – 5 pm: During the first Kolibrí Family Day (Infopiste).  
  • Every Monday from 4.8. at Globe Art Point (Malminkatu 5, Helsinki) | 9 am – 3 pm.

A wonderful and fun team of volunteers organises the Kolibrí Book Fair, and you can help them to collect and organize books for sale, or during the fair days at Pessi and Annantalo.
