Natalia Castrillón, Kaisa Siirala and Maarika Autio

Natalia is an amazing harpist from Colombia interested in spreading the sound of the pedal and lever harp. She has collaborated with artists from different music genres and disciplines such as theatre, dance and contemporary improvised music.
Kaisa is a saxophone and flute player from Finland, she is interested in free expression and inspired by different world musics. Her background is mostly in jazz and all kinds of afro american music.
Finally, Maarika is a Finnish dancer and talented musician who plays the mallets, percussions, kora, and piano. Her areas of speciality are world music and West-African dances.
About their motivation to participate in Kolibri, this trio shares with us: “We have found a special connection through the music we have arranged and composed together. The aim of this concert format is to celebrate diversity, reaching audiences from different ages/interests and promoting these unique sounds and stories inspired by Latin American, West African and experimental improvised music”
