Ana Garralón

Ana Garralón is a specialist in Children and Youth Literature. In 2006, Ana won the National Reading Promotion Award in Madrid. She has published Historia portátil de la literatura infantil and Leer y Saber: los libros informativos para niños. Her reflections are published in the blog Anatarambana where she opens up on current topics. Since its origins and until 2005, Ana was the coordinator for the magazine Educación y Biblioteca. Currently, Ana proposes training workshops in Spain and Latin America, she focuses on countries that she has visited since the nineties and with which she feels a great connection. Ana also gives lectures about children’s literature and among her specialties are informative books for children and their capacity to awaken the curiosity of the very young readers. 

When we ask Ana, what is her motivation to participate in Kolibri she says: “My eternal desire to travel, the opportunity to be in new scenarios where children’s literature is present and to be able to share my knowledge about children’s literature”.
