They are Carolina Isasi ja Laura Zuvillaga
Carolina is a full-time mom raising an Argentine-Finnish child. She is also an Argentinean architect oriented to natural buildings. She has been living in Helsinki since 2013, where she completed a multidisciplinary master’s degree at Aalto University for the Creativity in Sustainability program. At the same time, she participated in multiple training activities about building with wood, mud, straw-bales and other natural materials, both in Finland and in Argentina. Her professional work is oriented towards creating and building in harmony environments with human and non-human nature, inspired by the value of learning through interaction with others and with our surroundings.
Laura is an industrial designer. Wood is her natural way to express herself through small objects, furniture or houses. Her work is oriented to the search of new creative processes. She has been working at the Wood Program of the University of Aalto since 2015.
In regards to their motivation to participate in Kolibri they say: “We are part of the multicultural community that we want to help building. We met each other working for Kolibri and we believe that the festival is a great opportunity to celebrate together values such as; friendship, tolerance and respect.“
Come and have fun at the workshop they have prepared for you!
